So I heard a loud ass car go through my neighborhood the other day and I thought, damn, that’s fucking loud. Like seriously, who wants to hear that where they live? While writing this it does occur to me this a first world problem – and it’s like, “just give it a rest, it only lasts a few seconds”. But during those few seconds it bothers me so much, it knocks me out of the mood/mindset I was previously in. I just don’t get the allure of having a loud ass car and driving it in city streets or around your neighborhood – no one enjoys it other than you. I presume just like with big cars it could be a compensation thing that is widely know across the states…. That’s a topic for another day.
Now I will say that loud cars are cool in the right setting. I’ve gone to one Nascar race and the loud cars zooming around the track (only turning left) was quite sensational. There’s just something about going to a car race that gets you pumped up. I will say though, that will also be the last Nascar race I go to since it’s about 3 hours of cars turning left. Not to mention its a cesspool of humanity with confederate flags flying around and trump memorabilia all over the place. I do recommend people to go check it out for themselves at least once though! Next up is a formula 1 race!
All in all, I’d just like to say a sincere FUCK YOU if you have a loud ass car and I hear you in my apartment.
